Witches Regatta

Witches Regatta started in 2017 as an enchanting way to haunt Tempe Town Lake every Halloween. Witches are enticed to wear their best cloak and float the eerie reclaimed waters of this urban lake. Bewitching? Yes — beautiful witches (and warlocks) will cast a spell as they fly East and then West around the lake.

Grab your black cat and a hat, trade your broom for a paddle! Witches will captivate the crowds that gather to watch this coven fly!

Why is it on a Monday? It's Halloween. It's also REALLY expensive to host an official event at Tempe Town Lake... like $8500! We can't have more than 100 people at a meet-up and this event has become quite popular. There's less traffic on the lake on weekdays.

Call in sick — you're bone tired and weary... you deserve to be a witch for a couple hours.
